After Gear Sport and Gear Fit2 Pro, Samsung has unveiled yet another wearable device at the on-going IFA 2017. And the device is called Samsung Gear IconX, which is a wireless earbuds and it works more than a bluetooth headsets. So, let’s have a look into the device.
The Samsung Gear IconX (2018) tracks all your fitness activities including heart rate, calorie meter, steps count, and so on (just like its predecessor). It also coming with a new Running Coach mode that tracks running in real-time, standalone music player and more. And the company says, that the device is ergonomic and lightweight weighing 8 grams per earbud.
The new generation earbuds are also compatible with Bixby, which you can trigger Bixby assistant with tap and hold on your Bixby-enabled devices. However, to use Bixby you will require following Samsung smartphone:
- Galaxy Note8
- Galaxy S8
- Galaxy S8+
Speaking about the battery, Samsung Gear IconX (2018) is coming with improved battery than its predecessor. As now in the new device you can listen music upto 5 hours via Bluetooth (7 hours when in standalone mode) or 4 hours of talk time.
Each earbud backed on 82 mAh battery and 4 GB internal storage (total 8 GB). They also come with gesture touch control, round pins as charging connectors aided by a charging case. It uses 4 microphones with ambient sound support, and the charging case is smaller than earlier with 340 mAh battery and also support for quick charging. The company claims that 10 minutes of case charging will give you battery life to last upto 1 hour of exercises.
The wireless earbuds will be available in Black, Pink, and Gray colour options. Right now, there is no information about the pricing and launching date of the device.
