Samsung’s TV remotes have been making some significant eco – friendly progress in recent years. Now, the company has released the latest Eco Remotes that can take power from radio waves.
During CES 2022, South Korean tech giant Samsung unveiled the 2022 Eco Remotes. Last year, the brand introduced a large solar panel on these remotes, and now, there is a new way to charge these remotes. This remote will still have solar panels, but it will also work with radio waves. However, the amount will be small.
The radio frequencies that can be charged remotely include radio waves, such as a Wi-Fi router. Samsung says this radio frequencies harvest will allow you to fully charge your remote even if you watch TV day or night (or keep the TV in a place where there is less sunlight).It also indicates that you can run longer than previous repetitions.
The company added that Eco Remotes are made using “recycled material design” similar to its predecessors. This latest model is also available in a new white color variant and retains its minimalist design.
The Eco Remotes also has a microphone for voice controls, along with shortcuts to Netflix, Disney Plus, Amazon Price Video, and Samsung’s TV Plus. This new remote will be shipped with all its 2022 TV lineups.
