Ahead of CES, Samsung has announced its 2022 Smart TV lineup, boasting of a new line of micro LEDs, new QLEDs, lifestyle series and soundbars. Dolby Atmos support newer smart TVs and the soundbar.
The company has introduced a new smart hub for its 2022 smart TVs, which claims to “enable smart content curation, cloud gaming, video calling, on-screen multitasking, NFT management and much more.” One of the key features of the Smart Hub is the gaming hub. That allows players to stream games from a handful of cloud gaming services.
Samsung has announced that Nvidia GeForce Now can use Smart Hub’s Gaming Hub to play games with Google Stadia and Utomik game streaming services. It announced that players will benefit from faster game loading using the gaming hub on Samsung smart TVs launching in 2022.
Microsoft announcing that it will soon release a smart TV app for the Xbox Game Pass, it will also reach Samsung’s gaming hub. In addition to gaming, the new Smart Hub will allow users to switch to media and ambient modes.
The Verge reports that the Gaming Hub will allow users to play HDMI-connected consoles alongside game streaming services. Basically, it allows users to play cloud games and console games with a single controller – both PlayStation and Xbox controllers are supported from the start.
Samsung announced three new lineups of smart TVs ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show 2022. The first of these is the Micro LED Smart TV series.It comes in 110 inch, 101 inch and 89 inch display sizes.
The Smart TVs in this range include 100% DCI and Adobe RGB color gamut and 99.99% screen-to-body ratio. Displays have 4K resolution with upgrade rates up to 120Hz. It also promotes features like Art Mode and Multi View.
The second lineup is the Neo QLED smart TVs, which feature the new Neo quantum processors. It also feature EyeComfort mode, which automatically adjusts the brightness and tone of the screen based on the surroundings. Includes a Real Depth Enhancer and Shape Adaptive Light Technique to enhance brightness, accuracy and overall image quality.
They get 8K resolution displays and the OTS Pro, an improved version of object tracking sound. Finally, Samsung has detailed some of the smartphones in its 2022 Lifestyle range, which will be available in three sub-models – Frame (32 to 85 inch models), Serif (43 to 65 inch models) and Zero (with a new vertical multi-view feature).
In addition, Samsung introduced a new line of soundbars. They feature the updated Q Symphony surround sound experience and wireless Dolby Atmos. It briefly described the HW-S800B Ultra Slim soundbar and said it would redefine the slim segment by incorporating passive radiator technology in the sub-woofer for better bass.
Samsung is also launching a new Watch Together app that lets friends and family video chat while watching content. In this week, Samsung announced the NFT Aggregation Platform, which allows users to search, browse and purchase NFTs directly from its smart TVs. Users can preview NFTs and read about the creator and creation story behind the tokens. Users with NFTs can display them on Samsung smart TVs.
