Just a couple of days ago, the South Korean electronics giant Samsung introduced One UI 5 which is based on Android 13 and the same is available for the Samsung Galaxy S22 series. The company will release the roadmap for the stable version of the new custom skin by the end of this month. Samsung also suggested that the company is working on seamless updates and the same may be introduced with its next generation of custom skin.
In an interview, the topmost executive of Samsung has revealed that the company will be rolling out the stable One UI 5.0 update to all the supported devices and the foldable as well as the Galaxy S21 series will receive the update before the end of this year.
It is also revealed that the company is working on offering seamless updates and the same could be available with One UI 6 which will be official next year.
The seamless update will make the phones receive and install updates in the background and reboot after the installation as finished instead of sending the phone into maintenance mode for update installation which takes time.
It is also revealed that the company is not working on the One UI for Chromebooks and televisions. This confirmation kills the rumour which suggested that the company is working on a new version of custom skins for the Chromebooks along with the televisions and more.
