Samsung modems are said to have 18 vulnerabilities and it is also said that the same has affected Google Pixel devices as well. These kinds of problems enable attackers to gain unauthorized access to sensitive data.
It is reported that the Google Project Zero security team has recently discovered 18 vulnerabilities in Samsung modems and the same has affected many devices of Samsung and Google.
It is saying that Google is reporting that four of the 18 vulnerabilities are rated as “critical” and the same will enable attackers to remotely damage a device without the need for any user interaction, as long as they have the phone number.
The report is also saying that the search engine giant Google has already released a security update in March this year and the same has fixed the problem on the latest Pixel phones. But the company is yet to fix the vulnerabilities for Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, and Pixel 6a.
Speaking about the affected devices, the list includes Galaxy S22, M33, M13, M12, A71, A53, A33, A21, A13, A12, and A04 series, vivo-branded phones such as S16, S15, S6, X70, X60, and X30 series, Google phones such as Pixel 6 series and Pixel 7 series. Apart from that, any device which is having the power of the Exynos W920 chipset, and any vehicle using the Exynos Auto T5123 chipset.
