Just a couple of hours ago, we updated that Samsung German website confirmed the official name of the upcoming Galaxy S20 series and now the company confirms the name of its next foldable device which will be unveiled along with the Galaxy S20 lineup.
The Romania website of the South Korean electronics giant Samsung has confirmed that the upcoming device will be called Galaxy Z Flip and this name was already known through the previous leaks and rumours as well. Having said that, earlier it was believed that the device will be dubbed as a Galaxy Bloom or Galaxy Fold 2.
Samsung Romania website has set up a dedicated page for the leather case of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip but the page does not reveal anything about the upcoming device and the page is also not loading the image of the device but the listing confirms the name and it is still live on on the official website and we don’t know how long it will be.
The device will feature a 6.7 inch Infinity Flex Full HD+ display with 2636 X 1080 pixel resolution along with dynamic AMOLED and it will also offer 22:9 aspect ratio, and the Galaxy Z Flip will also have an external display that will feature a 1.06 inch Super AMOLED panel with 300 X 116 pixels resolution. It is also said that the device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset along with 8GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage with UFS 3.0 and there will be no support to expand the storage.
Speaking about the camera department, the upcoming clamshell device will have a 12MP dual-pixel AF, with f/1.8 aperture + 12MP ultra wide lens with f/2.2 123-degree; LED Flash, OIS. and the Galaxy Z Flip will support a 10MP dual-pixel AF, f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera will support the 4K @ 60fps; while the front camera will offer a 4K @ 30fps.
It is also said that the device will support the Side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and the same will support Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, GPU, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo. The device will have two-part 3,300 mAh battery, along with Quick Charge 15W support, and the device will also support 9W Qi wireless charging. Finally, the device will run on Samsung One UI 2.0 running Android 10.
Having said that, the device is also believed that the company will be priced €1,500 or $1,400.
