Over the past few weeks we are hearing rumours about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S11. And most of the rumours are related to the camera, so we can expect that the camera on the upcoming flagship will change a lot. There are strong rumours that the primary sensor used on the device will be the 108MP sensor, and we can believe on that because that’s Samsung’s best camera sensor right now. But what about the other cameras? Well today’s leak just mentions about one of them.
Samsung has recently filed a trademark from EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) of “Space Zoom”. This of course sounds like a marketing name for some sort of optical or maybe hybrid zoom technology. And as always they give the latest tech into their flagships, we can expect this zoom into the upcoming Galaxy S11 series. This year we have seen smartphones having 5X optical zoom and 20X hybrid zoom, so expecting similar zoom technology in the next Samsung flagship is not a big deal.
Actually it would be very interesting to see what Samsung will do with this technology, because they give one of the best camera performance out there. Also, “Space Zoom” name also bends us to think is there any different type of zooming technology we are going to witness here?
So that’s all the information we have as of now. Looking at these continues leaks on the camera of Samsung Galaxy S11, the expectation bar is setting high for the real life camera results.
