As CES 2021 is about to unfold the electronic giant Samsung will showcase a lot of innovative gadgets that they have been working on as part of the incubation programme, C-Lab Inside in partnership with 17 startups supported by its startup acceleration program, C-Lab Outside, at CES 2021.
These Inside projects include a portable oxygen storage device called Air Pocket, which is an IoT device that identifies fabrics and recommends suitable options called Scan & Dive. In addition, the company has unveiled Food & Sommelier, a service that can recommend food and wine to help you mix up your meals. Finally, there is an app called EZCal that can calibrate the TV’s picture quality on its own.
Samsung will showcase these projects from January 11 to 14 as part of CES 2021 as part of its C-Lab projects. According to the company, these new products will help people stay at home and enjoy the comfort with the help of technology. Other C-Lab Outside startups from the company include Magpie Tech which is expected to show a growth management device for children called ‘kiko, which can smartly track the kids’ height and weight. In addition, they will unveil Bitbyte which is a keyboard theme service that responds to input text and then we have Designovel which has built an AI-powered fashion design tool.
That is not all, as the company will also unveil a real-life avatar creation tool through 3D scanning and VR/AR by Flux Planet, AI-based personal information anonymisation by Deeping Source, and a digital note-taking service that enables easy PDF editing using pen gestures by Flexible. The other striking innovation from C-Lab Outside is an online K-pop training service by Counter Culture Company, and fortune-telling and mental care character-based conversational chatbots by Thingsflow.
To recollect, C-Lab Outside was a programme commenced in 2018, that is aimed to accelerate startup programs by offering them s office workspace, mentoring by Samsung employees, financial support and so on to enrolled startups. This year, three startups from the programme have been chosen as innovation honorees of CES 2021 in the area of health and wellness by CTA (The Consumer Technology Association). These honours were grabbed by Luple that made a portable and artificial sunlight device, Breathings that helps manage respiratory-related health issues and Linkface which unveiled a neckband that monitors breath- and heart-related biosignals.
