However, the risk of the technology is very high as well because a new incident happened in the southern part of the country and the same in Kerala. Scammers used the power of AI to create a friend and made WhatsApp call to loot Rs 40000 from a Kerala man.
It is reported that the man received a WhatsApp video call from a number which he did not recognised and the person on the call look like someone he is familiar. The caller also mentioned the names of their mutual friends as well.
During the conversation, the collar requested Rs 40000 and the person transferred it immediately because the person said that he is in an emergency situation as his relative is hospitalised.
It is said that Police started the investigation and successfully traced the money transaction in a private bank located in Maharashtra.
