At Google I/O 2017 event, the search engine giant Google announced a new app called Google Lens which is helpful to gain information from an image, and it is powered by Google Assistant. Now at the Made by Google event, the company has confirmed that the second generation of Pixel devices will be the first to have a preview version of Google Lens along with the AR stickers.
Google will roll out an update to Google Assistant and to the Photos app by later this year, and with that update the Lens feature will start serving on your device. The company has also shown few demos of the app including a way for users to get information about a book by taking the image of it.
At the event Google has also shown an Augmented Reality (AR) features, with this you will able to add animated videos and images. And few of them will be based on objects such as NBA, Saturday Night Live and Netflix’s Stranger Things.
