The popular mobile chipset maker Qualcomm is expected to launch the new Snapdragon 4 Gen 6 mobile processor and today the important details about the chipset appear online. So let’s get into the article to check out the new details.
According to the latest information, the upcoming Snapdragon 4 Gen 6 will be built on TSMC’s 4nm process and the processor will be similar to the previous generation. The architecture will include two performance cores based on Cortex-A78 (each with 256KB L2 cache) and six efficiency Cortex-A55 cores (64KB L2 each), all sharing a 1MB L3 cache.
It is reported that the upcoming processor will be coming with the Adreno 6 series of GPU for the graphical task. The upcoming chipset will also come with dual-channel LPDDR5 at 3200MHz.
The processor is also expected to come with either the WCN3998-2 (Wi-Fi 5 + Bluetooth 5.2) or the more premium WCN6750 with Wi-Fi 6 support. It is expected to feature hardware-based ECC image certification, Widevine L1 for better streaming, and a new Trust Management Engine.
