Qualcomm is currently working on the next generation Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 mobile processor and the same will be announced in October as it is the usual launch timeline for the new flagship processor of the company. According to the reliable leaker Digital Chat Station, the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 mobile processor (model number SM88550) will be built on TSMC’s 3nm N3P process and the processor will feature a 2+6 core setup including two prime cores and six performance cores.
The processor is also said to be based on Arm’s newer v9 architecture and it is also believed to feature SME1 and SVE2. It will be improving on-device AI processing and computational photography. It will also come with an Adreno 840 for the graphical task.
It is also said that the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 has achieved an AnTuTu score of 3.8 million points. This is over 30 percent improvement compared to the best-performing Snapdragon 8 Elite phone in March.
