The popular mobile chipset maker Qualcomm is working on the next generation Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 and now we got a new piece of information that says the company is in touch with Samsung Foundry’s cutting-edge 2nm node and the same will be utilised for the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 for Galaxy. This chipset will be powering the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 in late 2026.
If this is going to happen then Samsung will be coming back in the chipset race as we know that Qualcomm and Samsung collaborated for a chipset and that was the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Unfortunately, it was disappointing as the chipset failed to match expectations.
We don’t have any other details about the matter at the moment of time and it is worth mentioning that there is no official confirmation about this and we recommend you to take this information with a pinch of salt.
