The popular mobile chipset maker Qualcomm is currently working on its next generation flagship mobile processor called the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. It is already exciting and today we got a new piece of information which adds fuel to the fire of the excitement. So let’s get into the article to check out the details.
According to reliable leakers @Olrak29_, two Qualcomm Reference Devices (QRDs) powered by the chip—codenamed SM8850 leaked online and one of them reportedly reaches a peak clock speed of 5.3GHz. The another one goes to a more conservative 4.8GHz.
The upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 mobile processor is expected to be built on TSMC’s 3nm N3P process and the same will be powered by Qualcomm’s second-generation Nuvia cores. The processor is expected to come with the Adreno 840 GPU and it will be including a 16MB cache.
Qualcomm will be launching the processor in September and let’s wait for the official announcement. Multiple smartphones will come with the power of the processor before the end of this year.
