The popular mobile chipset maker Qualcomm is currently working on the next generation Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, and the same is expected to be announced in September this year which is earlier than its usual launch timeline.

According to Digital Chat Station, the upcoming mobile processor will be using TSMC’s cutting-edge N3P 3nm process and Oryon Gen 2 CPU cores—two prime and six performance cores.
Based on the previous report, the prime cores will run at a clock speed of 4.4GHz, a slight upgrade over the 4.32GHz clock of the current Snapdragon 8 Elite. It was also reported that the upcoming processor will be built on the Armv9 architecture with SME 1 and SVE2 support.
The upcoming mobile processor will be coming with Hexagon NPU hitting 100 TOPS, and this will be beneficial for AI.
