Samsung hosted the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event where the company announced the superstars called the Samsung Galaxy S23 series along with the new laptop series. The new flagship smartphone is coming with an enhanced version of Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset dubbed Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Samsung has announced the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy and this will be powering its latest and greatest Samsung Galaxy S23 series. The enhanced version of the chipset is manufactured by the Taiwanese semiconductor company TSMC. It is claimed that the newly announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy is the World’s fastest Snapdragon chipset as the same is coming with a higher clock frequency than the regular model. Don’t be confused, samsung is actually using an overclocked prime Kryo CPU core running at 3.36GHz which is higher than the 3.2GHz clock frequency. The Adreno GPU which is coming with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy is also running at a higher 719MHz frequency.
The overclocking set up will definitely offer improved graphics and faster processing and the same is also capable for real-time ray-tracing and it is capable to handle effects like bloom, depth of field, and motion blur efficiently.
Samsung is also closing the doubts about overheating because of the overclocking set up as the company is saying that the NPU on the latest Samsung Galaxy S23 series is optimized by 40% to balance performance and power.
The South Korean electronics giant Samsung has also announced the Snapdragon Cognitive ISP and the same enables real-time processing technology called Semantic Segmentation. This will enable the camera of the smartphone series to distinguish various elements in an image and optimize them in real-time.
