Qualcomm is gearing up to launch a new mobile processor next month and the company was expected to launch the chipset in the name of Snapdragon 8s Elite but today the reliable source Digital Chat Station has revealed the actual name of the processor and sum of its important details. It is reported that the company will not call the coming processor as the Snapdragon 8s Elite instead, the upcoming processor will be dubbed Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. It is said that this is because the upcoming processor is not having the custom custom Oryon cores and the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 will stick to standard ARM cores.
The upcoming chipset is expected to come with the TSMC 4nm process and the same will include 1x Cortex-X4 prime core at 3.21GHz along with 3x Cortex-A720 cores at 3.01GHz, 2x Cortex-A720 cores at 2.80GHz, and the processor will also feature 2x efficiency-focused A720 cores at 2.02GHz. It will also come with the Adreno 825 GPU.
It is also reported that the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 mobile processor will come with 6MB of system-level cache (SLC) and 8MB of L3 cache. It is also reported that the chipset will feature the same ISP as the Snapdragon 8 Elite. It is reported that at least four devices are incoming with the new processor and the list includes Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro, Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro , and Oppo K13 Pro.
