Sony announces it’s Wireless Bluetooth headphones- Sony Xperia Ear Duo at MWC 2018

Sony has been quite active in the ongoing MWC and along with the Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact Smartphones, it has unveiled a new pair of wireless earphones. They have launched completely wireless Bluetooth stereo headsets which are compatible with both Google Assistant and Apple’s Siri.

The Xperia Ear Duo are a type of smart Headphones which works through gestures. It can recognize head movements like shaking head or a quick nod which can be used to pick up or decline calls. According to Sony, the Xperia Ear Duo offers 4-hour battery life which is better than Samsung Gear IconX and close competition to Apple’s earpods which is claimed to offer 5 hour battery time. A charging case is also bundled along the headphones that charges up to 3 times and boasts IPX2 certified Splash proof design.

It is available in two colors – Black and Gold. It is compatible with both Android and iOS and the companion app will be available for free download at the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The price starts at $279 and it will roll out from Spring 2018.
