After LG, ZTE, Ericsson, and Amazon, now the Japanese electronics giant Sony has announced that it will not appear in the upcoming MWC 2020 event in Barcelona. Recently, Sony announced that it will host an event at the upcoming event but there was no clue about the new smartphones.
Sony has also called off its decision to host an event at the MWC 2020 event due to the outbreak of coronavirus and the company said that it offers importance on the safety as well as well being of its customers, media, partners, and employees, that’s why the company official;y withdraw from MWC event.
Having said that, GSMA who organizes the Mobile World Congress has issued a statement and that says that it has taken all the measures for the disease which is very dangerous for humans. However, they still don’t plan to reschedule the event even after losing big guns.
That said, the company will announce its new products as planned earlier but through a live stream on the official Xperia YouTube channel and the same will begin at 8:30 am CET (1 pm IST) on February 24.
