Sony introduced its new lineup of Bravia XR TVs at CES 2022. The new range includes QD-OLED, Sony’s first quantum dot LED TV. And added several new mini LED TVs to its lineup.
The new range of Bravia TVs uses Sony’s new Cognitive Processor XR, which the company claims will provide better contrast and brighter colors. On the other hand, Sony’s new XR backlight master drive algorithm is tuned to give better control over the mini LED models to provide better contrast and deeper black.
Sony Master Series A95K, A90K, A80K specifications
The new Sony Master Series A95K TV supports a 4K QD-OLED panel, which Sony claims to provide deeper black and better mid tone. The A95K is available in 65-inch and 55-inch sizes. It also offers the benefits of quantum dot-LED technology along with the contrast levels of OLED panels.
Available in 48-inch and 42-inch models, the Sony Master Series also introduced the A90K OLED TVs. A80K OLED TVs are also available in 77-inch and 55-inch options.
Sony Master Series Z9K specifications
As part of the new Mini LED lineup, Sony has performed well with the new Master Series Z9K series, which comes with XR backlight master drive technology to deliver high brightness and deep black.
The new Master Series Z9K available in three models: 65-inch, 75-inch and 85-inch 4K.It will also pack Sony’s new Acoustic Multi Audio technology to match sound with different visual components installed on the screen.
Sony has also announced a new 4K LED lineup that will feature the same acoustic multi-audio technology from its Mini LED range, but in 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch and 85-inch sizes.
The Sony is new Bravia XR lineup also gets a new Netflix Adaptive Calibrate mode. It adapts the on-screen content to the ambient light to ensure that Netflix shows appear close to what the creator intended in any lighting environment. All new models come with the “Perfect for PlayStation 5” level.
