Sony has just revealed a speaker called LF-S50G, which is powered by Google Assistant and will rival the likes of Google home and Amazon Echo in the market. The move comes just after the announcement of Google in IFA, Berlin. That it’ll also support other speakers with its Google Assistant to turn them as a smart home accessory.
This speaker just like any other assistant powered speaker will play you music based on your commands from services like Spotify, Google Play Music and Pandora, let you know what the weather is like, and even answer your questions just like your phone does. Besides, you can also control your smart home automation devices if you do have any. The device is certified with IPX3 which means it is not completely waterproof but it can bear with some splashes.
The device will also offer a 360-degree audio experience and the sound has enough depth to fill in an average room. The device supports NFC as well as Bluetooth for connectivity.
The speaker goes on sale in the US in October for $200 and will be available in two colors Black and Gray. It may later be available in the US where it would cost around £200 to £230.
