I still remember that I used Walkman to listen to music by inserting audio cassettes and using batteries to get the charge to listen to music. If you are a kid of the 90s, then you will definitely remember the cassette and battery-powered Walkman. Well, now the Japanese electronics giant Sony has showcased its new Walkman series in its home country Japan.
Sony has showcased two portable audio products – the Sony NW-A306 and NW-ZX707 Walkman models. The company has introduced the new Walkman series with Android 12 as well as extended battery life.
The Sony NW-ZX707 Walkman features a 5-inch display with 720 resolution. It is coming with 64GB of storage and offers 25 hours of battery life. It is also featuring an S-Master HX digital amp with support for Native DSD and the same is also capable to offer up to 25 hours of 44.1 kHz FLAC playback or 23 hours of 96 kHz FLAC content. It is running on Android 12 and offers access to Google Play Store.
On the other hand, the Sony NW-A306 offers a smaller display along with 720 pixels resolution and offers up to 36 hours of battery life.
Regarding the pricing and availability, the Sony NW-ZX707 is having a price tag of 104,000 Yen and NW-A306 is priced at 46,000 Yen.
