Sony Unveiles Xperia 8 Lite With Snapdragon 630

The Japanese electronics giant Sony has launched a new budget-oriented smartphone in its home country and the device is coming with similar specifications of the Sony Xperia 10 but with the new camera setup. The smartphone is coming with 64GB internal storage and the same offers a side mounted-fingerprint scanner as well. Specifications of Sony Xperia 8 Lite

The device sports 6 inch Full HD+ display with 21:9 aspect ratio, the device is powered by Snapdragon 630 processor and paired with 4GB RAM and the device has 64 GB of internal storage and that can be expandable upto 512 GB via micro SD card.

Coming to the camera department, the Xperia 8 Lite has a dual camera set up at the back and that is the combination of 12-megapixel shooter with f/1.8 aperture, and 8-megapixel lens with an f/2.4 aperture. The camera department supports a 21:9 video capturing, bokeh effect, EIS, 2X digital zoom, 4K video recording, and more. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The device supports face unlock and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for the security and it also supports high-resolution audio (Supported audio formats: LPCM, FLAC, ALAC, DSD), DSEE HX, LDAC, SmartAmplifier, Virtual Phones Technology, Stereo Recording, and Qualcomm aptX HD audio.

Regarding the connectivity options, the smartphone supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C, and Google Cast. The device runs on Android 9, and ships on a 2,870 mAh battery with fast charging.

Talking about the pricing and availability, the smartphone is priced at JPY 29,800 and it is set to go on sale starting September 1.
