Back in February this year, the Japanese electronic stand Sony announced its brand new smartphone called Sony Xperia 1 II and the same is coming with some really cool specifications. Well, now the company has announced its availability details along with the pricing.
The Japanese telecom operator has confirmed that it will start selling the smartphone from May 22 and the same will cost JPY 133,600.
It’s slightly disappointing news because it was expected that the company will launch the device in the global market by the end of this month but the company is bringing the same in a home country that means it will take a couple of weeks more to bring it in the global market.
Specifications of Sony Xperia 1 II
The smartphone features a 6.5 inch 4K HDR OLEG display with 1644 X 3840 pixels resolution and 21:9 aspect ratio, the Sony Xperia 1 II also comes with the motion blur reduction technology. It is powered by the latest and greatest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and paired with 8GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the Sony Xperia 1 II supports 256 GB of internal storage and that can be expandable up to 1TB via MicroSD card.
Moving to the photography department, the latest Sony Xperia 1 II rocks a quad camera setup at the back and that’s in a combination of a 12-megapixel primary camera (1/1.7-inch Exmor RS sensor) along with dual PDAF f/1.7 lens that supports optical image stabilisation (OIS), followed by dual 12-megapixel cameras with 1/3.4-inch and 1/2.6-inch sensors along with an f/2.4 and f/2.2 lenses, respectively. Finally, there’s a 3D, Time of Flight (ToF) sensor with an autofocus lens. The cameras department backed by Zeiss optics along with Zeiss T* coating and also features Real-time Eye AF, 3x optical zoom, up to 20fps AF/ AE tracking burst, and 60 times per second continuous AF/ AE calculation. Moreover, the Sony Xperia 1 II also comes with the Cinema Pro app and the same is co-developed with the ChineAlta and Alpha divisions to offer a list of photography-centric features. On the front, the smartphone supports an 8-megapixel with an f/2.0 aperture and has a field of view (FoV) of 84 degrees.
Regarding the connectivity options, the Sony Xperia 1 II supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone also supports an in-display fingerprint scanner along with front-firing stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, and Hi-res audio support, the device also comes with 360 Reality Audio Technology as well as IP68 certified water and dust resistant.
It also supports DualShock 4 direct connection support as well as a Game Enhancer feature. The Xperia 1 II packs a 4,000 mAh battery with wireless charging support. It is also bundled with a USB PD fast charger, and the smartphone runs on the Android 10.
