The developers of WhatsApp continuously bringing new and handy features into the instant messaging application, and now the company has just confirmed on its FAQ page that the instant messaging application soon introduce verify business accounts.
The verified business account means the same verified pages which you have seen on Facebook and Twitter, there will be a verified badge come up next to the business name and on WhatsApp you will see a green badge appearing next to their name. According to the FAQ page, the company is exploring different ways so that you can communicate with businesses that matter to you and one of those right now are verified business account.
Right now a small number of businesses have been verified on WhatsApp as part of a pilot program, but the company should start verifying more businesses soon. Moreover, when you start chatting with a verified business account you will see yellow messages inside the conversation, the company says these messages can’t be deleted.
It worth to mention that the phone number of a business which you saved in your contacts then the name will be appear on WhatsApp as same as you saved, but if you have not saved the number then the name will appear to you will be the one that the business chose for itself. And don’t worry about the privacy, as you can able to block account if you don’t want to contact.
Moreover, WABetaInfo says users will be able to see more information about the verified business account under the businesses info section where you can find the business address, email id, website URL and the link to Instagram profile (if the business has).
