Well, now it seems that the South Korean electronics brand Samsung is now all set to become the next smartphone brand to launch an Android Go smartphone. As we got a report, which suggests that. According to the source, Samsung is now testing different versions of a device with the model number of SM-J260 in different countries in Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Moreover, back in April, the same source said that these different versions of the device, M-J260G came on the Geekbench benchmarking and it listed the device motherboard as “7570universal_go.” The word ‘Go’ gives the hint of the Android Go smartphone.
Well, if you are unaware about the Android Go then it is developed for the low-end smartphones, or in other words, the operating system is designed for the entry-level Android Smartphones which have 1 GB RAM or less. The operating system is the lighter version of Android Oreo, and the OS also has all the Lite version of the popular applications.
Having said that, if Samsung unveils an Android Go smartphone then the company will have to release the device with the stock Android but there is no information about this.
