Google rolls out the security updates every month and it also hit the Pixel and Nexus devices, but the other OEMs does not push the update on regular basis. This is going to be history, as Google may soon end the delay process with the company’s new OEM agreement.
David Kleidermacher, security head of Android has suggested that OEMs will soon be required to roll out regular security updates at the Google I/O event. Well, if the company make such an agreement then it will be great because, at the current time, no one is providing the security update on regular basis. And it is a most important factor because we know that the number of malicious apps is increasing a lot and at that time user should receive the latest security updates.
Right now, we don’t have any other information about how the search engine giant will make the agreement and the new rules to push the regular updates. We are looking forward to a positive outcome and we hope that the company will update the agreement very soon and we hope that in this way the Android update system will improve.
