The developers of the instant messaging application WhatsApp are working hard to bring new features and they are focusing on the Status area very seriously. Recently, we came across a report suggesting that soon we could add music on WhatsApp Status similar to Instagram. Now we got a new piece of information that says that the cross-sharing feature will be enabled very soon on the WhatsApp Status section. It is officially announced that WhatsApp soon get an option to directly share your WhatsApp Status Updates on Instagram and Facebook. After getting the new feature, you will find two additional options under the Who Can See My Status settings. With a single toggle, your latest status will be automatically uploaded to both Facebook and Instagram.
You need to link your WhatsApp account with Facebook and Instagram to use the new feature. It is also said that Meta will be introducing a new Accounts Centre and the same will be working as a dashboard of all your Meta accounts in a single place.
It is also said that some part of your user data from WhatsApp will be used to serve more relevant and targeted ads. The company will not including any private info from your conversations and chats remain End-to-End Encrypted.
The company also says that the new Accounts Centre and cross-linking of WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook accounts will be optional and you need to enable the same manually. It is also confirmed that the arrival of the features will be taking few months of time.
