It is confirmed that the latest PlayStation 5 Pro is powered by a single-chip custom AMD Ryzen Zen 2 processor and the same has 8 cores and 16 threads. The gaming console also features an AMD Radeon graphics card with an RDNA-based graphics engine as well as 16.7 Teraflops (TFLOPS) of computing performance.
The company has claimed that the new GPU can offer 67% more compute units, 28% faster memory, and 45% faster gameplay rendering than the vanilla variant. It is also capable to provide advanced ray-tracing and AI-powered upscaling via PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR).
Sony has also confirmed that the new PlayStation 5 Pro comes with 2TB of onboard SSD storage along with 2GB of DDR5 RAM in addition to the 16GB GDDR6 memory. The latest PlayStation 5 Pro also comes with the latest WiFi 7. It also has features including Bluetooth 5.1, one HDMI port, one Ethernet port, 2 USB-C ports, and 2 USB Type-A ports. It is worth mentioning that the PlayStation 5 Pro is a digital-only console and it also features a port for attaching a disc drive to play physical games.
