TCL introduced a bunch of new products at the CES 2022.The tech company introduced six new tablets, a Windows laptop and a pair of virtual reality (VR) glasses. TCL’s new tablets and laptops claim to “provide educational experiences for learners of all ages.”
TCL has also announced second-generation VR glasses called NxtWear Air, which sport dual 1080p OLED displays and dual stereo speakers with spatial audio. TCL’s laptop runs Windows 11 and has 4G LTE connectivity.
TCL NxtPaper 10s specifications
The tablet has a 10.1-inch (1,200×1,920 pixel) IPS display with TUV certification for low blue light. The TCL NxtPaper 10s also supports a T-pen stylus, folio keyboard, and writing board accessories. It has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.
It has an 8-megapixel primary rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera.It packs an 8,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support via a USB Type-C port.It will be offered in dark gray and ethereal dky color options.
TCL Tab 10L, Tab 8 4G specifications
The TCL Tab 10L has a 10.1-inch HD display. It is powered by a MediaTek MT8167B chipset with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card. For optics, it comes with two 2-megapixel front and rear camera sensors.It will be offered in a prime black color option.
The TCL Tab 8 has an 8-inch (800×1,280 pixels) IPS display. The MediaTek MT8766B SoC, paired with onboard storage, is a feature that can be expanded via a microSD card. It comes with a 4,080mAh battery, a 5-megapixel primary rear sensor and a 2-megapixel selfie sensor. It will also be offered in a single prime black color option.
TCL NxtWear Air specifications
This smart glasses from TCL sport dual 1080p micro OLED displays with 47 pixels-per-degree resolution, support 3D imagery, and a 60Hz refresh rate. The TCL NxtWear Air Sporthouse has dual stereo speakers with spatial audio. Alternatively, users can connect wired or wireless earphones to wearables.
Smart glasses come with two interchangeable front lenses so users can customize them to their liking. TCL NxtWear Air connects to a smartphone using its USB Type-C port, and is powered by the same port.
It can also be connected to another device using the USB Type-C port. With compatible Bluetooth controllers, users can also play games on smart glasses. It weighs 75 grams with a standard lens.
Price and Availability
The TCL NxtPaper 10s is priced at $ 249 (approximately Rs. 18,500) for the six tablets launched by TCL at CES 2022. It will be available in China and Europe later this month. The TCL Tab 10L is priced at $ 99 (approximately Rs. 7,400) and will be available in select markets from 2022 Q1. The TCL Tab 8 4G, meanwhile, will be available in Europe from 2022 Q1 for $ 129 (approximately Rs. 9,600).
The TCL Tkee Mini, TCL Tkee Mid and TCL Tkee Max will be available for $ 89 (approximately Rs. 6,600), $ 149 (approximately Rs. 11,100) and $ 119 (approximately Rs. 8,900) respectively in some areas from Q1 2022. They were launched in India in January 2021 under the Alcatel brand.
No information is available on the price and availability of TCL NxtWear Air VR glasses.
