TCL has unveiled a bunch of new smartphones during the ongoing MWC 2022 event and the newly announced smartphones are running on the latest Android 12 operating system out of the box. The company has also showcased a foldable smartphone during the event as well. So let’s get into the article to check out the complete details of the newly announced devices.
Specifications of TCL 30 5G, TCL 30, and TCL 30+
These three smartphones are coming with a similar set of specifications and let’s start with the software department as all the devices are running on the latest Android 12 operating system and it is having TCL UI on top. The devices are featuring 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED displays with 60Hz refresh rate along with 20:9 aspect ratio, 100 percent NTSC DCI-P3 colour gamut coevrage, 395ppi pixel density, and offer 900 nits of peak brightness. The devices are also featuring a waterdrop like notch on the top of the screen.
TCL 30 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 mobile processor along with 4GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of internal storage. The TCL 30 and TCL 30+ smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Helio G37 SoC along with 4GB of RAM and the vanilla variant is coming with 64 GB of internal storage while the Plus variant is coming with 128 GB of internal storage. The smartphones are also coming with the support of MicroSD card which means you guys can expand the storage.
Speaking about the camera department, the devices feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.85 aperture, and two 2-megapixel depth and macro sensors with an f/2.4 aperture. TCL 30 5G and TCL 30+ features a 13-megapixel front facing camera with an f/2.3 aperture, while TCL 30 features an 8-megapixel front facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
Regarding the connectivity options, TCL 30 5G model features 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth v5.1, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port. While the TCL 30 and TCL 30+ features 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port. TCL 30 and TCL 30+ also supports stereo speakers.
The devices are also featuring a side-mounted fingerprint scanner along with facial recognition support for the additional layer of security. All the devices house 5,010mAh batteries with 18W fast charging support.
Specifications of TCL 30 SE and TCL 30 E
These two devices are also sharing specifications and both runs on the latest Android 12-based TCL UI out-of-the-box as well as featuring 6.52-inch HD+ display with waterdrop notch on the top of the screen. Both devices are powered by the MediaTek Helio G25 SoC while the TCL 30 SE has 4GB of RAM with up to 128GB of onboard storage and the TCL 30 E features 3GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage and both devices support a microSD card.
Talking about the camera department, TCL 30 SE features the same rear camera setup as the TCL 30 5G, TCL 30, and TCL 30+, while the TCL 30 E features a dual rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor. TCL 30 SE features an 8-megapixel front facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture, while TCL 30 E features a 5-megapixel front facing camera.
Regarding the connectivity options, TCL 30 SE and TCL 30 E supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, and Wi-Fi direct.
Both smartphones pack a 5,000mAh battery. TCL 30 SE supports 15W fast charging.
Details of TCL Ultra Flex foldable smartphone
The company has also showcased a concept foldable smartphone and the same is called TCL Ultra Flex. It is featuring a 360-degree rotating hinge along with an 8-inch PLP AMOLED display with 2,460×1,860 pixels resolution. The company did not reveal any other specification details of the device.
Pricing and availability
TCL 30 5G is priced at EUR 249, TCL 30+ is priced at EUR 199, TCL 30 is priced at EUR 179. TCL 30 SE is priced at EUR 149, and TCL 30 E is priced at EUR 139. TCL 30 5G and TCL 30 E will be available to purchase in Europe starting April, while the other devices are already available in Europe.
