Red Magic 10 Pro series unveiled
The Red Magic 10 Pro series features a 6.85-inch 1.5K OLED Wukong display co-developed with BOE along with a 95.3% screen-to-body ratio. The Red Magic 10 Pro and 10 Pro Plus are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile processor along with up to 24 GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 Pro storage. The smartphone series also features the Red Core R3 gaming chip and the same will be offering an enhanced gaming experience.
The Red Magic 10 Pro series runs on RedMagic’s AI OS 10.0, based on Android 15 out of the box. The smartphone series includes a 50MP OmniVision OV50E40 primary sensor with an f/1.88 aperture and OIS, along with a 50MP ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view, and a 2MP macro sensor. The smartphone series has a 16MP under-display OmniVision camera. The 10 Pro Plus houses a 7050mAh Bull Demon King silicon-carbon battery along with 120W fast charging and the 10 Pro model comes with a 6500mAh battery along with 80W fast charging. Both devices also come with features including 520Hz gaming shoulder keys, X-axis linear motors, DTS ULTRA stereo speakers, and NFC. The devices also feature a 3.5mm audio jack, which is something unusual in flagships.
Honor MagicBook Art 14 goes official
The Honor MagicBook Art 14 laptop features a 14.6-inch OLED display with a 97% screen-to-body ratio. The laptop features minimal bezels and it is thin at 10mm and lightweight at 1 kilogram. It has the power of the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite chipset with up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It also features an AI-enhanced NPU that offers up to 45 TOPS of AI computing power.
The laptop’s OS Turbo 3.0 technology is capable of optimizing battery life and it will allow you to use the machine for up to 15.22 hours of 1080p video playback on a single charge. The laptop also comes with a detachable magnetic webcam for added privacy. It runs on the MagicOS and the same will enable you to collaborate with Honor devices. It also features MagicRing which will enable multi-device control. The laptop also features tools including the AI Eraser tool among others.
Jio & Disney Plus Hotstar merger completed
The highly anticipated merger between Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and The Walt Disney Company has completed successfully and they introduced a joint venture dubbed Jiostar and Jiostar.com already went live. The new merger is making Reliance the largest player in the country as the new venture merges ‘Star’ and ‘Colours’ on television and ‘JioCinema’ and ‘Hotstar’ digitally. It has created a media ecosystem with over 100 TV channels and a 50-million-strong digital subscriber base. The new venture also enjoys rights to sports content, covering cricket, football, and other popular events.
Regarding the financial terms, Reliance Industries has invested Rs 11,500 crore to support the venture’s growth and it is worth mentioning that the joint entity, valued at approximately Rs 70,352 crore. It is said that the ownership stakes has been divided among Reliance, Viacom18, and Disney. Speaking about the executives, Nita M. Ambani will lead as Chairperson, while Uday Shankar will serve as Vice Chairperson.
OnePlus 12R gets OxygenOS 15
OnePlus has released the new OxygenOS 15 update for its OnePlus 12R in different markets including India, Europe, and global markets. The update will be available in stages and it comes with lots of new features and improvements. The update will be offering new animations along with visual effects and the company is also offering the new OnePlus OneTake which will be offering a huge amount of selection to enable customization with system wallpapers and personal photos among others.
It also features Fluid Cloud along with the LivePhotos capability and multiple new photo editing options are available in the latest update. The OxygenOS 15 also include features like Floating Window and Open Canvas along with new Notifications and Quick Settings.
The latest OxygenOS 15 update also features the new file sharing capability called OnePlus Share that will enable you to share files with iOS devices. The new charging limit feature is available in the update and that will limit to 80% which willl extend battery life and you will be getting battery protection remainder as well. The latest update is also focused on privacy and safety as well.
Baidu Xiaodu AI Glasses unveiled
Baidu has officially unveiled its Xiaodu AI Glasses, and it is the “world’s first AI glasses that feature a native Chinese language model. The device has the advanced Ernie language model and the device weigh just 45 grams. It also features a 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera with AI stabilization and the same will enable smooth as well as stable first-person perspective photography. The latest AI glasses also feature a four-microphone array along with open-ear anti-leakage speakers.
It also features six core functionalities including real-time Q&A through walk-and-ask queries, calorie recognition, object identification through an encyclopedia feature, audio-visual translation, and intelligent reminders. It also comes with AI anti-shake technology and the Xiaodu AI Glasses offer up to 56 hours on standby and can run over 5 hours continuously. The device also supports fast charging capability as well. The Xiaodu AI Glasses run on the DuerOS AI native operating system and it is seamlessly integrated with popular Baidu applications like Baidu Maps and Baike. Xiaodu AI Glasses will officially launch in the first half of 2025.
