1. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Now Official With Dual Camera Setup:
This week Samsung launched the successor of their most controversial series i.e. Galaxy Note 8. Technically it is the successor of Galaxy Note 7, but due to recall of the explosive phone, Galaxy Note 8 should be considered as the successor of two year old Galaxy Note 5. This Note 8 comes with some very premium features like infinity display with more polished design, 1st ever dual camera setup for any Samsung phone, and all top notch hardware present in any smartphone as of now. It is 1st ever Galaxy Note device which comes with 6GB RAM variant, and also 1st Samsung flagship which only has 6GB variant, no 4GB variant. Samsung’s own AI system Bixby is also present here which was exclusive to Galaxy S8/S8+ till now. 2. Google Unveiled Android 8.0 Oreo:
Apart from Galaxy Note 8 this week was most trending for the launch of new Android version i.e. Android 8.0 Oreo. After many suggestions and online rumours, Oreo is now the official name. Google has added some new features in this version like Picture-in-Picture and Autofill. There are some minor changes in the UI ad well. Also as always Google is saying that this will bring several improvements like battery life and others. Android Oreo was launched few hours after the Eclipse event. 3. Micromax Canvas Infinity Launched With Bezel-less Design:
In smartphone industry, competition never ends. Earlier this year we have seen LG G6 to feature bezel-less design and it was the first smartphone to do so. Samsung came with Galaxy S8 duo to pull the G6, and the cycle goes-on like that. Now even Micromax has marked their debut in this bezel-less category with their Canvas Infinity phone. The event was held at Dubai, and the funniest party of the whole event was that they were comparing their Snapdragon 435 powered smartphone with Snapdragon 835/Exynos 8895 processor powered phone 😂 . 4. Coolpad Cool Play 6 Launched in India:
After many months of any launch in India, Coolpad is back with their new smartphone named as Cool Play 6. This is 1st mid-range device which comes with 6GB of RAM. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 653 processor, and it has a Dual Camera Setup. The battery capacity is also good i.e. 4000mAh. All other specs seems good as compared to it’s price. Now let see how this phone will do in the software and in overall performance. The phone will go on sale from 4th September and will be available exclusively on Amazon India. 5. Xiaomi Unveiled Redmi Note 5A Smartphone:
This week Xiaomi also unveiled a new smartphone under its Redmi line-up, the Redmi Note 5A. It is a budget oriented device which comes with some decent specs for the price like fingerprint sensor, 4GB+64GB configuration, 16MP front camera, and metal unibody design. The processor used here is the budget oriented Snapdragon 435 processor which performs very good in daily usage.
