Welcome everyone to this week’s Weekly Round-up. In this series of Weekly Round-up, we will showcase Top 5 trending news of this week as well as two mentioned news which are very interesting but can’t make there way to the Top 5 list. This week is trending for Jio, Motorola, Nokia & more. So, let’s have a look at this week’s Top 5 trending news.
1. Millions of Jio User’s Data Got Leaked:
Last week, the personal data of Jio users started to leak on a website named as magicapk.com . Anyone can get all personal information of a Jio user just by entering the Jio number of a particular person. It is one of the biggest data leaks ever in India, nearly 120 million Jio users data was at a major risk. & The worst part is, even the Aadhaar details like Fingerprint and Aadhar number can be found in those leaked details. This can lead to a serious disaster for many, as Aadhaar is a thing which connects a particular with everything important to his life. Though one of the suspect is now arrested. 2. Nokia 6 Registrations Started On Amazon:
Nokia unveiled the Nokia 6 on China in January this year, then announced global variant of the same at MWC in February, then they announced the phone at India in June, now the registrations are open in July. Well it’s already 6 months for the unveiling of Nokia 6 and seems like Nokia is going to delay the phone a bit more. As the 1st flash sale of Nokia 6 will happen on 23rd of August. By that time the phone will be sort of a old phone, and the Snapdragon 435 processor is also a year old SoC now. Also expect this phone to reach to consumers by end of August. & 8 months is a lot for a Snapdragon 435 phone. Personally speaking Nokia 6 will not be a goof buy at all now, at least in India. 3. Motorola Moto E4 Plus Launched in India:
This week Motorola launched another budget phone under their Moto ‘E’ line-up, Moto E4 Plus. They launched the Moto E4 earlier this month. Both Moto E4 & E4 Plus are 1st Moto ‘E’ devices to get fingerprint sensor. Now coming to the Moto E4 Plus only, it has two highlighting specs, fingerprint sensor and huge 5000mah battery capacity. The screen is a 2.5D curved screen and the size is 5.5 inch, 1st for Moto E series. Other specs are very average, as there are some other alternatives like Redmi 4 & Lenovo K6 Power in similar price range. This phone is Flipkart exclusive and is priced at INR 8,999 . 4. Asus Zenfone AR Launched in India:
After unveiling the Zenfone AR in January. Asus has finally launched this phone in India after 6 months. This is the 1st & as of now only phone in World which has support for both Project Tango and Google Daydream, which makes it a future proof device. Huge 8GB of RAM also make this phone a bit more future proof. The processor used in this phone is Snapdragon 821, though it is last year’s flagship processor but it still can give a flagship performance. We would recommend this phone only to those who can make use of Project Tango and Google Daydream, as a normal smartphone, there are other better options available at this price. 5. Microsoft Officially Killed Windows Phone:
After Android and iOS, the only OS which is being used in smartphones is Windows, by Microsoft. But as we know that iOS and Android covers most of the market, there’s not much user base of Windows phones. So now Microsoft has finally decided to stop support the Windows phone OS. This time it includes windows 8.1 , as previous versions aren’t getting support from a very long time. Even Windows don’t have much variety of apps, so we think that it’s a right step to move. So those who have any windows phone, they have to live with their current OS, or move to Android or iOS. For detailed coverage on this news Click Here.
