TechnoBugg’s Weekly Round-up

Welcome everyone to this week’s Weekly Round-up. In this series of Weekly Round-up, we will showcase Top 5 trending news of this week as well as 2 mentioned news which are very interesting but can’t make there way to the Top 5 list. This week is trending for Xiaomi, OnePlus, & more. So, let’s have a look at this week’s Top 5 trending news.

1. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Launched in India:

Last month, Xiaomi unveiled their new bezel-less flagship smartphone, Mi Mix 2. Last year’s Mi Mix was China exclusive with less availability. But this year Xiaomi mentioned that Mi Mix 2 won’t be just China exclusive, it will come to other regions. Now, this week they launched the Mi Mix 2 in India. It’s the 1st country after China where this phone is launched. The USP of this device is it’s bezel less display. It’s one of those phone in market to which we completely say bezel-less. But unlike last year, it had some very thin bezels around the corners. Maybe due to it’s sensitive body. It’s also priced considerably good in India. 2. OnePlus Released Android Oreo Based Open Beta Update:

Last month we got to know that OnePlus has started closed beta program for OnePlus 3 based in Android Oreo. Now just yesterday OnePlus released the Open/Public Beta update for OnePlus 3 and 3T that’s based on Android Oreo. The update is sized at 868MB and it packs all Android Oreo features like Picture-in-Picture Mode and Autofill. As this is a Beta built, there are some bugs like app optimisation issue. But the good thing is that even with some bugs, this ROM is easily usable for daily usage. The stable build is expected to come later this year. If you want to install this ROM, I suggest you wait for my review on this Oreo ROM. So that you can make wise decision. For detailed coverage on this news Click Here.

3. Honor 7X Officially Unveiled:

After the success of Honor 6X smartphone even in the segment where Redmi Note 3 and later on Redmi Note 4 rules, Honor is back with the successor, Honor 7X. This smartphone follows the new trend of 18:9 aspect ratio with large 5.93 inch display. It still carries the Dual Camera Setup, with some minor improvements. The processor is also upgraded to latest Kirin chipset. The internal storage of this phone starts from 32GB and goes upto 128GB. Rest all the specs are very minor improvements over the Honor 6X. As of now this phone is launched only in China, no information about the availability in other regions. For detailed coverage on this news Click Here.

4. OnePlus Stealing User’s Personal Data:

Apart from many good things, OnePlus also comes in trending for their bad things. This time it’s about user privacy. A new research comes with claims that OnePlus is stealing user’s personal information like Serial Number and MAC Address. In this matter, OnePlus has to say that they take this data to improve the user experience. They also have a process to turn this off, but to completely stop collecting user data they will push out an update by the end of October which will turn off the collection. It’s nice to see that OnePlus has accepted the truth and they are focusing on user privacy. But as the brand is becoming bigger day by day they should take better care from now, because precaution is better than cure. For detailed coverage on this news Click Here.

5. BlackBerry Motion Officially Unveiled:

This week BlackBerry also launched their new phone named as ‘BlackBerry Motion’. This is again a full touchscreen phone by BlackBerry, without the physical keyboard. The key point of this phone is it’s 4000mAh battery capacity with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology. But the processor used here is still Snapdragon 625, which is good but sort of old now. There’s nothing new or interesting regarding rest of the specs. But the saddest part is that even when it has older Snapdragon 625 processor and market value of BlackBerry is decreasing, the phone is very overpriced. We can get phones with flagship level processor at the same price. For detailed coverage on this news Click Here.
