Xiaomi owned Black Shark launches Black Shark 3 and Pro phones in China. This phone is developed in partnership with Tencent, which also designed the game – PUBG. Black Shark 3 and the Pro variant succeeds the Black Shark 2 and comes with significant upgrades. Unlike last year, Black Shark decided to launch both phones at the same time.
Between the 3 and the Pro model, the difference lies in the display, battery, and camera.
DISPLAY & DESIGN
Black Shark 3 sport a 6.6 inch AMOLED Display. The refreshing rate has been increased to 90 Hz. But the screen toned down to Full HD+ with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution.
Black Shark 3 PRO has a large 7.1-inch AMOLED Display with a 90 Hz refresh rate. Unlike the Shark 3, the Pro variant has a QHD+ screen with a 3120 x 1440 resolution.
Both devices support HDR10+, MEMC 2.0, DC Dimming, and a record-breaking 270nHz touch sampling rate.
When it comes to design, the Black Shark 3 Series retains the ‘X’ pattern seen on the previous generation as well. The phone also carries a 5G logo and Tencent logo at the back along with the Black shark branding.
Both phones pack the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G Chipset coupled with LPDDR5 RAM of 12 GB, and another version comes with LPDDR4X RAM with 8GB capacity. Both phones support UFS 3,0 and WiFi 6 standards.
The rear camera layout is quite interesting as it is in the shape of an inverted triangle, reminding us of the Iron Man Heart. The layout carries a 64 MP primary sensor coupled with a 13 MP Ultrawide angle sensor with a field-of-view of 120 degree. Lastly, it has a 5 MP Depth Sensor. The selfie shooter has a megapixel count of 20 MP.
The Black Shark 3 has a 4720 mAh battery while the Pro variant has 300 mAh more, making it a 5000 mAh battery champ.
Both phones support 65W Wired charging via the USB Type-C port. The 5000 mAh battery can be charged to 100% in just 38 minutes, as claimed by the company.
Additionally, the phone houses a magnetic charging port at the back, and it can support 18W power.
Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top. The Pro version has a first-ever mechanical pop-up trigger button for gaming. This trigger button can withstand 300,000 clicks, and it auto hides when fall is detected. The phones come with a double-sided liquid cooling termed as ‘Sandwich’ liquid cooling.
