OnePlus has undergone a lot of changes recently, and although its new strategy has been questioned by its fans, it seems to be OnePlus splitting.
The company has recorded phenomenal growth in the US and its Nord series has achieved better sales globally than ever before. As recent changes are not enough, new trademarks indicate that there will be more things along the way.
Tipster Mukul Sharma shared some mysterious trademark filings of OnePlus and they all nodded. There is “two plus” that seem to be a continuation of the legendary brand, but also trademarks for the names “Six Plus” and “Eight Plus”.
Now, OnePlus has more big plans for 2022, including more mid-range models and, for the first time, the Ultra ‘flagship. Discussions are also underway for a unified OS called ‘H2OOS’, which will replace ColorOS, OxygenOS and Chinese HydrogenOS.

Will these changes and the trademark filings together be part of any new master plan developed by Pete Law himself? To be honest, it’s hard to say because of the lack of official information about OnePlus splitting, so all we can do at this point is theory.
However, the main purpose of trademarks is to provide security by making the name of a company or product an intellectual property. Registering one prevents competitors from copying and stealing a brand. So, while not being part of some great scheme, the new trademarks may be the OnePlus setup names, which are beyond the bounds of others – like ‘TwoPlus’.
