WhatsApp the world’s most favourite instant messaging application and this messenger replaced other messengers, to become a default messaging application for every smartphone users. Well, the developers of the instant messaging application try various ways to make it more and more effective and the developers of the messenger introduce various features that include design, attractive features, and also to prevent the spreading of the fake and unwanted news.

The social networking giant Facebook-owned WhatsApp also working for the payment mode on this instant messaging application which will help users to send and receive money instantly because it has a huge number of users and this will make things easier for everyone. Now the developers of WhatsApp testing new features to stop fake news an unwanted contents, in this article, I will list the upcoming features which are the developers testing right now on the WhatsApp.

Search Image

To prevent the spreading of fake news the developers of WhatsApp has limited the number of recipients to forward a message at once, which means right now that allows you to forward a message to only five users. The developers have also taken various measures to solve this issue and now in a bid to combat fake news, the developers of the instant messaging application testing a feature called ‘search image’ in the latest beta update of WhatsApp v2.19.73 for Android.

With the new move, the messenger aiming to reduce the number of fake news and unwanted contents. As the Lok Sabha election is around the corner, this new feature will definitely be going to be helpful. That said, according to the WABetainfo, WhatsApp will use official Google APIs to search for the images on the Web. Once the image is uploaded on Google, WhatsApp will open the browser to show the search results.

Advanced Search

The text messaging application already allows you to search messages within multiple chats and now the developers of this application working to improve the search feature and it will be dubbed as ‘advanced search’. The feature will allow you to search for media as well, which means the feature will help users to search for the photos, videos, audios, documents, and even links from one place. That’s not all, the feature will also allow you to filter the search by tapping on a type of the media. Currently, the feature is only available on the latest beta builds for iPhones.

In-App Browser

The in-app browser, is one of the most important features nowadays and other popular social media application already supports this. Having said that, WhatsApp’s parent Facebook and Instagram have this feature. Unfortunately, the very popular WhatsApp doesn’t support the in-app browser, and if you are unaware about the feature then it will open a web page within the app. But the latest version of the beta of WhatsApp v2.19.74 for Android, has the ability of the in-app browser and we expect that the developers will the roll this feature to the stable version soon.
