Two Selfie Centric Smartphones By Xiaomi Are In Queue

Back in November Xiaomi acquired Meitu, a Chinese brand that develops Selfie Camera app and manufactures smartphones as well. There are light rumours that Xiaomi will make selfie centric smartphones using the resources of Meitu. Now today we got a new leak in respect to the same. So let’s have a look at them.

Xiaomi is working on two new selfie centric smartphone, named as Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e. Both are supposed to have selfie software algorithms used by Meitu in their app, so we can expect some amazing selfie in terms of quality as well as funky features like 3D stickers. Coming to the specs, the Mi 9CC will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730 processor and Mi 9CCe will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 processor.

Both will have 4000mAh battery, where Mi 9CC will have 27W fast charging and Mi 9CCe will have 18W fast charging. Both are supposed to have water drop notch, NFC, rear sided fingerprint sensor, 48MP primary camera, and 32MP front camera. Of course there will be 1 or maybe 2 more cameras at the back, but as of now we know about the primary sensor only. Below are the pricing information of all the variants of both smartphones based on the storage configuration :

 

  • Mi 9CCe (6+64GB) – ¥1,599 (₹16,000 approx.)
  • Mi 9CC (6+128GB) – ¥2,499 (₹25,100 approx.)
  • Mi 9CC (8+128GB) – ¥2,799 (₹28,100 approx.)
  • Mi 9CC (8+256GB) – ¥3,099 (₹31,100 approx.)

 

So that’s all the information we have as of now. We are expecting both these smartphones to get launch in next 2 months in China. It may launch in other markets as well, but with different name and without the mention of Meitu at all. Only time will clarify on all these doubts.
