Google not only offers flagship phones but the company also mid-range devices with a premium finish and impressive specifications every year. Next year, the company is expected to launch the Google Pixel 8a smartphone and the same is expected to be announced during the Developer Conference of the company which usually happens in the early days of May dubbed the Google I/O event. Today the renders of the upcoming Google Pixel 8a smartphone appear online and the same shows the designing language of the device. So let’s get into the article to check out the new details of the upcoming device.
Going through the newly leaked images, the upcoming Google Pixel 8a features more rounded corners on all sides along with a tall aspect ratio and less width compared to the Pixel 7a.
The back panel of the device features the same horizontal bridge with pill-shaped cutout housing two camera sensors. The device comes with a slim profile and we can see the upcoming phone in a Peach color option.
We can also see that the upcoming Google Pixel 8a smartphone features a punch-hole cutout at the centre position of the screen. We can see a thick bottom chin and it is said that the device will feature a 6.1 inch display.
Dimensions-wise, the upcoming Google Pixel 8a is said to measure 152.1 x 72.6 x 8.9mm. The volume buttons and power button will be available on the right side of the device while the left side of the device features a SIM tray slot. The bottom of the device houses a USB-C port and stereo speakers. The top of the phone is the place for an ultrawide-band antenna and an earpiece.
Having said that, we came across a report in August about a Google phone codenamed ‘Akita’ and the same is expected to be the Google Pixel 8a that appeared on the popular benchmarking website Geekbench with an underclocked version of the Tensor G3 mobile processor along with 8GB RAM and it will be running on Android 14 out of the box.
