The flagship chipsets including Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Snapdragon 888+, and Snapdragon 888 were manufactured on Samsung’s 4nm and 5nm node process and they did not get a good response as it was having problems with the thermals and performance. Well, that made Qualcomm to switch from Samsung and the latest and greatest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC manufactured on TSMC’s 4nm advanced node process.

According to the latest information, the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, MediaTek Dimensity 9100, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 2, and the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 will be manufactured on TSMC.
The upcoming chipsets are expected to be announced later this year. It is worth mentioning that there is no official confirmation about the same.
