Vi Users Offered Zee5 Premium Subscription for Free

The new combined entity in the telecom industry Vi (Vodafone Idea) is determined to keep its subscribers happy with offers and discounts. They have now announced that the users are eligible to use the Zee5 Premium subscription at no extra cost for a period of one year. But to avail of this offer, the user must buy from a selected catalog of plans.

There are 5 plans for users to choose from and these start from 355 to 2595. This offer is valid till March 31 of next year and can only be availed once. The company has not revealed plans to auto-renew this offer. The first plan will cost you Rs. 355, which will get 50 GB of data that will expire in 28 days. This is the only plan that does not come with any talk time. The next plan is for Rs. 405 which comes with 90 GB data and unlimited talk time. At Rs. 595 the company offers 2 GB per day and doubles up the validity to 56 days, If you wish to further extend this plan for a total of 84 days, you will have to spend Rs. 84. The most expensive plan comes in at Rs. 2595 and it offers 2 GB per day for a full year. After buying any of the above-mentioned plans, you can avail of the premium subscription benefits on the Zee5 app or on the website.

To claim the offer:

1. Recharge with the bundled recharge packs above from any source.
2. You will receive a confirmation SMS with a Zee5 activation link.
3. Click on the link and enter your MSISDN and OTP for verification.
4. You will then see an Activate now button, click on it.
5. Your subscription is now active and Zee5 will send the eligible subscriber a username and temporary password to login to the Zee5 app or website.

If you follow these steps within 28 days of receiving the confirmation SMS, the premium subscription will be activated but if you fail to do so within 28 days the link will expire.

Vi says that the customers will be eligible for the Zee5 service annual subscription if they buy VIL unlimited recharge of minimum Rs. 219 for a period of 12 months. If you did not know, a Zee 5 membership costs Rs. 99 per month while the one-year subscription cost is Rs. 999, but is currently discounted to Rs. 699.
