The popular Chinese smartphone brand Vivo is gearing up to launch the new Vivo X Flip and the same is expected to be announced next month as the first flip phone of the company.
The device is now spotted on the Google Play Supported Devices List and it is a clear indication that the launching is around the corner. The database is showing the model number of the device as V2256A and its marketing name will be the Vivo X Flip.
It is worth mentioning that the model number was previously spotted at the popular benchmarking platform Geekbench, along with the Chinese certification platform 3C certification, and IMEI database. The Geekbench listing revealed that the upcoming folding smartphone of Vivo will come with the power of the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 mobile processor along with 12 GB of RAM, and the device will run on Android 13 out of the box. While the 3C confirmed that the device will be supporting 44W fast charging.
Based on the previous reports, the upcoming Vivo X Flip will feature a 6.8-inch foldable AMOLED display along with a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also said to feature a large external display and the device will pack 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM as well as up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The device will be housing a 4,400mAh battery and the Vivo device will feature a side-facing fingerprint scanner. It is also expected that the upcoming Vivo X Flip will feature a dual-camera setup and that will be in the combination of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX866 primary camera and a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 ultra-wide camera. The device is also expected to feature a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.
