The popular Chinese smartphone brand Vivo has officially introduced its third generation folding devices in China and the new series is called the Vivo X Fold 3 series that includes the vanilla variant and Pro variant. Everything about Vivo X Fold 3 series
The newly announced Vivo X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro devices feature similar display set up as both come with a 6.53 OLED external displays along with 2,480 x 2,200 pixels resolution while the devices feature 8.03 internal displays with 2,748 x 1,172 pixels resolution. The devices come with a LTPO 120Hz refresh rate and a 4,500 nits peak brightness. The latest Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is also coming with an integrated ultra-sonic fingerprint scanner while the vanilla variant features a side-mounted scanner.
The devices are coming with the lightweight design and the same has a carbon-fiber ultra-durable lightweight hinge. Vivo is also offering the devices with the title of first Swiss SGS five-star drop-resistant certification thanks to the armour glass. The Pro model features IPX8 rating and the vanilla variant is IPX4-certified water-resistant.
Speaking about the camera department, the latest Vivo X Fold 3 series features a 50MP OV50H OIS-enabled main sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The vanilla variant comes with a 50MP portrait whereas the Pro model features a 64MP OIS periscope sensor with 3x optical zoom and 70mm focal length. The latest Vivo X Fold 3 series features 32MP cameras on the internal and external displays. The big brother also features the Vivo’s self-developed V3 imaging chip for improved photography.
Under the hood, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has the power of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor whereas the standard model features Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. The devices come with up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The latest Vivo X Fold 3 is backed by a 5,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging while the big brother comes with a 5,700mAh battery along with 100W charging and 50W wireless charging.
The latest Vivo X Fold 3 series features stereo speakers and Wireless Lossless Hi-Fi audio. The devices also come with WiFi-7, dual-SIM 5G, IR Blaster, and NFC for connectivity.
Regarding the pricing and availability, the latest Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has a starting price of CNY 9,999 while the vanilla variant comes with a starting price of CNY 6,999. The devices are available in the market of China.
