Vivo has introduced its first ever foldable smartphone called the Vivo X Fold and it is coming with heavy specifications along with pretty cool designing language. The device is powered by the latest and greatest Snapdragon flagship mobile processor and it is featuring a quad rear camera as well. The device is running on the latest Android 12 out of the box.
Specifications of Vivo X Fold
The Vivo X Fold features an 8.03-inch Samsung E5 folding display with 1,916×2,160 pixels resolution and 4:3.55 aspect ratio and the primary display also features a 120Hz refresh rate and it is protected by an ultra-touch glass (UTG). The device has a 6.53-inch cover Samsung E5 panel with 1,080×2,520 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Vivo X Fold is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC along with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM as standard and the same has up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Speaking about the camera department, the Vivo X Fold features a quad rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an optical image stabilisation (OIS) along with a 48-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, 12-megapixel portrait sensor, and an 8-megapixel sensor and the same is available under a periscope-style super telephoto lens that is featuring OIS support. It is also featuring with a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor with an f/2.45 lens.
Regarding the connectivity options, the device features 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS/ NavIC, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It is also featuring an in-display 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that is available on both folding and cover displays.
The Vivo X Fold packs a 4,600mAh dual-cell battery along with 66W fast wired charging support. It is also bundled with an 80W Gallium Nitride (GaN) PD charger and the device is also featuring 50W Wireless Flash Charging support. It runs on Android 12 with OriginOS on top.
Pricing and availability
Vivo X Fold smartphone is having a price tag of CNY 8,999 for 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant and the 12GB + 512GB model is priced at CNY 9,999. The device will be available in the market of China from April 22.
