After unveiling Vivo X20 UD in early this year, now the smartphone brand has unveiled yet another smartphone called Vivo X21 UD. Well, we already got a decent idea about the device through leaks and rumours. The device is also coming with the in-display fingerprint scanner, which means there is no fingerprint scanner on the body of the device, you just need to touch on the display to unlock the smartphone. So, let’s have a look at the specification details of the device.
The Vivo X21 UD sports 6.28 inch FullScreen Super AMOLED display with 19:9 aspect ratio and has 2280 X 1080 pixels resolution. The device is coming with iPhone X like notch, and with the notch, the device looks similar to the iPhone X and it also has a screen-to-body ratio of 90.3%.
Coming to under the hoods, the device is powered by 2.2 GHz Octa Core Snapdragon 660 processor and the device is paired with 6 GB RAM along with Adreno 512 for the graphical task. In terms of storage options, the device is coming in two variants; it will be available in 64 GB (which called Vivo X21) and 128 GB (on Vivo X21 UD) internal storage options, and the device also allows you to expand the storage upto 256 GB via microSD card.

Speaking about the photography, the device has dual camera setup at back with the combination of 12 megapixel (f/1.8 aperture) + 5 megapixel (f/2.4 aperture) with Portrait Mode, AI Beauty Mode and LED flash. The device also features 12 megapixel front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and AI Beauty Mode. In terms of connectivity, the device will support of dual SIM with 4G connectivity, and it will also feature Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, 3.5 mm headphone jack, micro USB, and GPS.
The device features In-Display Fingerprint Scanner, Face Recognition, and Fingerprint Scanner (in Vivo X21, and it will not have the in-display fingerprint scanner) for the security of the users. The device runs on Android Oreo v8.1 which is based on Funtouch OS 4.0, and the whole device is backed on a 3,200 mAh battery. Speaking about the colour choices, the Vivo X21 UD will be available in Black and White colour. On the other hand, the Vivo X21 will be available in Red colour also.
Speaking about the pricing and availability details, the X21 with 64 GB internal storage variant is priced at ¥2898 (approx. ₹29,870), X21 with 128 GB internal storage variant is priced at ¥3198 (approx. ₹32,960). And the X21 UD has the price tag of ¥3598 (approx. ₹37,100). The Vivo X21 will hit the Chinese market from March 24, and the Vivo X21 UD will be available from March 28 in the Chinese market. Right now, there is no information about the availability of the device in the other parts of the globe.
Well, this is really great to see that the smartphone brand is bringing new technology in more and more devices. Moreover, Vivo is also pressurizing other smartphone brands to bring innovative technologies into their devices as well. I hope that the in-display fingerprint scanner and other innovative features will be applied to other smartphone brands as well in the coming days.
