Vivo is currently working on its upcoming flagship smartphone series dubbed the Vivo X500 series and the company has officially shared a teaser that confirms the arrival. So let’s get into the article to check out the details.
The Chinese smartphone brand has shared the official teaser and confirmed that the smartphone series will be launched in China next month, which means September 2026.
It is also revealed that the smartphone series will include the Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro, and Vivo X500 Pro Max. Unfortunately, the company did not reveal the exact launch date of the smartphone lineup.
Vivo has confirmed that the upcoming smartphone series will come with improved camera and video capabilities. The Pro models will feature a Zeiss Super Dynamic main camera, jointly defined by Vivo’s BluePrint imaging team and Sony. It is revealed that the camera uses the new BluePrint Guangyu 900 sensor and the same is a 50-megapixel 1/1.28-inch unit designed around high dynamic range.
It is capable to offer up to 17EV of dynamic range, which Vivo describes as the highest in the industry. The upcoming Vivo X500 Pro series will also support 4K 240fps slow-motion recording and 4K 120fps HDR video with direct HDR output.
The main camera also supports 3° OIS with gimbal-level stabilization, while CIPA 7.0 professional stabilization will be available in the camera setup. It was previously reported by the reliable tipster Digital Chat Station that the company will be launching the Vivo X500 series with a 200-megapixel “Thanos” telephoto camera and the same will be using a custom large-format 200MP HP0 sensor and periscope lens.
