Vivo is set to launch the next generation X80 series in China this month.As in the past, the global launch of the lineup will follow and as it changes, Vivo may soon launch the Vivo X80 Series in India as well.
On Thursday, the Vivo X80 with model number V2144 was found on the Google console. It was found to be rocking the Dimensity 9000 chipset with 8GB of RAM and an FHD + display. The device is expected to make its Chinese debut on April 25 with the remaining X80 lineup.
Today, the Vivo X80 with model number V2144 and the X80 Pro Plus with model number V2145 have appeared in the BIS certification database. This indicates that these devices will be launched in India as well, probably sometime after the launch in India.
In addition, the Vivo X80 was found in the Geekbench database confirming multiple features. Listing reveals device running Dimension 9000 SoC with 12GB RAM. According to a previous Google console listing, everything confirms that the device will offer 8GB and 12GB RAM variants. The device was also found to run on Android 12.
Vivo X80 and X80 Pro+ Specifications
The X80 is expected to come with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 400PPI pixel density. It has a 6.78-inch FHD + AMOLED display .
The handset comes with Dimension 9000 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It also has a 4500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. It is also expected to run Android 12-based OS out of the box.
Looking at the optics, the former leak says that the Vivo X80 will have a 50MP Sony IMX86 main-lens triple camera setup with OIS. Its sensor is 1 / 1.56 inch and accepts an RGBW configuration. The other two lenses in the camera module are expected to feature a 12MP ultra wide camera and a 12MP portrait lens with 2x optical zoom.
On the other hand, the X80 Pro Plus model is said to rock a 6.78-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED panel with a 120Hz upgrade rate and Quad-HD + resolution.
The device comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC Coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM . The handset also has up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device comes with a 4700mAh battery with 80W fast charging capacity.
