After launching the Vivo X90 Series in the market of China last year, now the smartphone series gets a passport and goes out of the Chinese borders. The company has launched the device globally and Malaysia is the first market to receive the new flagship smartphone series of Vivo. The company introduced the vanilla model and the Pro model in the market of Malaysia and there is no word about the top-end model, and the same is expected to be announced in a separate announcement. Having said that, the smartphone brand has introduced the device in Malaysia with the same specifications as the Chinese variants. Specifications of Vivo X90 series
The Vivo X90 and X90 Pro smartphones are featuring a 6.78-inch OLED display with curved edges and the devices have a punch-hole cutout at the centre procession of the screen. The smartphone series is also offering an FHD+ resolution along with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,300 nits peak brightness, and HDR10+ support. The display of both devices is integrated with an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
Speaking about the camera department, the Vivo X90 and X90 Pro smartphones are featuring a circular protruding camera module and a horizontal metal bridge below it with text revealing ‘Xtreme Imagination’ and the camera of the devices are co-engineered by Vivo and Zeiss. The vanilla model is having an OIS-enabled 50MP Sony IMX866 primary sensor along with a 12MP ultra-wide lens and a 12MP telephoto lens. While the Pro variant is coming with a 1-inch Sony IMX989 50MP primary sensor with the industry’s only f/1.75 aperture along with a 50MP portrait sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. The smartphone series is also having the Vivo V2 ISP and the same will enhance your photography experience. Both devices are also coming with a 32MP front facing camera.
Under the hood, the Vivo X90 and X90 Pro smartphones are powered by the Dimensity mobile processor along with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. The devices are also offering a vapour cooling chamber. The vanilla model is housing a 4,810mAh battery whereas the Vivo X90 Pro is backed by a 4,870mAh battery. Both devices are supporting a 120W fast charging solution. The standard and Pro models are IP64 and IP68-certified water-resistant.
Pricing and availability
As I mentioned above, the company has introduced the new smartphone series in Malaysia and the Vivo X90 costs MYR 3,699 for the 12GB + 256GB variant whereas the X90 Pro is having a price tag of MYR 4,999 for the same storage option. The company is also expected to launch the smartphone series in India later this month.
