From sometime, its came to hear that Vodafone in talks with to merge its Indian arm. And now today, Vodafone confirms that the company is in talks with Idea Cellular to merge its Indian arm.
Vodafone the second largest network of the country, has confirmed the merger talks with the third largest network of the country- Idea. The confirmation has ended months over speculation, actually since the Jio landed into the telecom sector. Every operators tries to defend the Jio storm, and this move will tackle the onslaught of Jio.
The network has already a debt of thousands of crores, this will not only help Vodafone to reduce loss but a great attack against the Reliance Jio with Idea Cellular.
